Mark Schultz

Born and raised in Southern California, Mark Schultz has been in the Real Estate Industry for over 30 years. Beginning his career in New Homes sales then transitioning to Mortgage Lending he has been involved in closing over 7,000 transactions. After securing his State of California Broker’s license in 1997, he then started his own mortgage brokerage, MS Mortgage Corporation and then a real estate brokerage, The Homebuyers Information Center to complement his mortgage business. He sold both companies and moved to the island of Maui where he became a State of Hawaii licensed Real Estate Broker. He worked there with a friend developing a property management and vacation rental company as well as selling residential real estate. Family brought him back to San Diego and for the previous seven years he was the Managing Broker of Solutions Real Estate. He helped grow that Brokerage from 10 agents to over 100.

Always looking for a new challenge he has joined Realty One Group of San Diego as General Manager and Managing Broker grew the San Diego market into one of the largest real estate brokerages in San Diego County.

In 2019 Mark decided to pursue his own journey and founded SELECT California Homes with a core group of agents whom he has been working with for over 10 years. Going back to his roots, he also founded Approved Mortgage, now SELECT Residential Mortgage, in that same year to service the financing needs of his agent’s clients. While not helping agents grow their business, Mark enjoys going to the beach, hiking, and playing golf. His passion though is spending time with family. He has a wife of 24 years, two grown daughters, two sons-in-law as well as five grandchildren.

Having successfully navigated the many ups and downs, recessions, pandemic, and now the new rules for compensation, both SELECT California Homes and SELECT Residential Mortgage are ready to grow to meet the needs of the San Diego Real Estate Community.
